After having bad match against New Zealand the fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was dropped from the team in the match against Zimbabwe. After that Shoaib had announced his retirement. He said that he is reaching the age where he should retire and announced his retirement after the world cup.

In his retirement announcement he was emotional and said that he always present himself for Pakistan and he played even in pain. There are some doubts on the inclusion of Shoaib Akhtar whether he will play against Australia or will be dropped from the team once again.

Wahab Riaz was included in the side as his replacement. Afridi was talking to media and said that the decision of Shoaib regarding the retirement is good one for him and it was his own decision. Afridi added that he was doing well for Pakistan but it’s the stage where he has to decide about his future sensibly and he has done so.

Afridi didn’t talk about the Shoaib inclusion in the team and divert his talk by saying that there will be some changes in the opening department. Kamran will be opener and Umar Akmal is also fit for selection. He also said that Asad Shafiq is good in the middle over.
