ICC’s Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat said that he is satisfied with the world cup schedule. He added that there was criticism on the issue of one match in a day. He said that they were having 14 teams in the world cup and every team demands the flagship match so it was decided to have one match on one day.

The criticism came from England’s K Pietersen and Australia’s Ponting. Pietersen called it a ridiculous format while Ponting said that it is a long tiring schedule. Australia waited for long time for their matches.

Haroon said that he is getting feed backs from the people and so far he is satisfied with the feed back. He referred MS Dhoni also favored the format. He added that the issue of 14 teams in 2015 world cup is still debatable as the match of Engaland Vs Ireland makes them to think over it.

The meeting of ICC’s Executives will be held in May and they this issue will be decided. ICC wants to reduce the world cup to 10 teams. Lorgat said that they are also working on the issue of visa to Pakistan’s players and media members to Mohali for the semi final match. Pakistan has defeated the West Indies Team and reached the world cup 2011 semi final.
