Pakistan cricket team is out from world cup race but Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar will be in the final match. He along with Simon Taufel will perform umpiring in the world cup final match. In 2007 world cup final match between Australia and Sri Lanka Aleem Dar was on field umpire. This time he will do umpiring for world cup 2011 world cup final match between India and Sri Lanka.
The final match will be played on 2nd April 2011. Aleem Dar from Pakistan and Simon Taufel of Australia are named as on field umpires. New Zealand’s Jeff Crow will be the match referee. Lan Gould and Steve Davis of England will be third and fourth umpire in the world cup final.
Aleem Dar has won two consecutive umpire of the year award from ICC. He is doing well as umpire and promoting the name of Pakistan. These umpires are flawless in the tournament and they are also considering as good judger.
Taufel has started his umpiring career in 1999 and in 2000 Aleem Dar joined him in the umpiring department and since then they are doing good job as umpires. Taufel was umpire in the final of the 2004 Champions Trophy and as the ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa.
