The International Cricket Conical (ICC) has refused to make Indian Primer League (IPL) as a part of future tour program. The chief executive of ICC Haroon Lorgat has cleared that ICC has not interest in adjusting IPL in future tour program because this is a domestic event and if we will adjust this tournament, other cricket boards will also demand the same thing from the apex governing body. Lorgat said that IPL is the individual matter of players and conical can’t interfere in this.
The former captain of Sri Lankan cricket team, Kumar Sangakkara, on Wednesday, demanded from ICC to make IPL a part of future tour programme in order to end to the clash between the league and national commitments of player. He said it will always remain a debatable issue whether the players should prefer the national commitments or their personal commitments with their respective franchises. He urged ICC to take necessary steps for resolving the matter.
It is to be remembered that the IPL season 4 is ending on May 28. First Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) asks its players to return to home on May 5 for the preparations of Islander’s tour to England, starting from the 13 of May with a practice match. But after the negotiation of more then one week, with BCCI, at last SLC extended the deadline to May 18. Even after extension in deadline, Lankan players have to leave IPL 10 days before the end of tournament.
