Pakistan wins the ODI series by beating WI in 3rd Match

Pakistan beat West Indies by 3 wickets in the 3rd one-day international of five matches series, played at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. With this match Pakistan has also won the one-day series, leading 3-0. Batting first, the home side bowled out for 171 runs in the rain affected match. The guest side got their target in 40.1 overs after losing 7 wickets. Due to the interference of rain each innings was reduced to 45 overs.

According to details the captain of Pakistan Shahid Afridi wins the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Caribbean side goes early in trouble by losing the important wicket of Devon Smith. He faced 4 balls but failed to open his score account. After losing the early wicket, opener Lendl Simmons along with Darren Bravo batted very sensibly and added 86 runs in the mutual partnership. Simmons goes caught and bowled by Saeed Ajmal, he scored 51 runs on 64 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.

The innings of Bravo ended on 47 by Muhammad Hafeez. The fourth wicket of home side fell on the total of 131 when Marlon Samuels was clean bowled by Junaid Khan on the individual score of 18. Kirk Edwards goes runout in the result of direct hit of Umar Akmal. He scored 18 runs after playing 33 balls. Dwayne Bravo was taken by Wahab Riaz on 11. Captain Darren Sammy (3), Andre Russell (3), Kemar Roach (0), and Devendra Bishoo (0) show no resistance against host bowlers. After losing all wickets the total of West Indies was 171 in 43.4 overs.

Wahab Riaz and Saeed Ajmal finished the innings of three, three players. Mohammad Hafeez was the other prominent bowler with 2 wickets.

Following the target, the visitors go early in trouble by losing the back-to-back wickets of openers Mohammad Hafeez (5), Ahmed Shahzad (0) and one-down Muhammad Hafeez (0). Trio wickets were taken by Pacer Ravi Rampaul. After losing three quick wickets in the beginning, two-down Misbah-ul Haq and next batsman Umar Akmal added 40 precious runs in the 4th wicket partnership. Rampaul once again gives the breakthrough to his team by getting the wicket of Umar Akmal. Wicketkeeper Simmons took his catch behind the wickets when his score was 30.

This time all-rounder Hammad Azam came to join Misbah both players batted slow but sensibly. They pick their side’s total to 127 and kept the base of victory. Hammad was taken by Bishoo on 36. Boom Boom Afridi came on the crease in aggressive mood but returned to dressing room after scoring just 11 runs. This time the wicket-taker was Bishoo again. Bishoo strikes once again and clean bowled new Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Salman on just 3 runs. One that spot the totally gripped match of Pakistan turns to interesting situation. Misbah and Wahab Riaz not permitted Caribbean bowlers to create more hype and got the target in 40.1 overs. Wahab ended the match with a massive six.

Misbah-ul-Haq played the innings of unbeaten 62, which he made after facing 109 balls. Wahab Riaz was notout on 17.Ravi Rampaul finished the innings of four opponent batsmen. Bishoo was the other prominent bowler with three wickets.
