In the last three world cups there is one Asian team contest against Australia and Australia won last three world cups by defeating them. Pakistan reached final in 1999, India and Sri Lanka played their final in 2003 and 2007 respectively.

Sri Lanka lost first five wickets for just 82 runs. S Randiv and KMDN Kulasekara mad esome contribution of the Sri Lankan total. KMDN Kulasekara scored 22 while S Randiv scored 43 uns. Sri lanka team was all out for just 170 runs and it took 46.1 over to complete their innings.

KD Karthik and V Sehwag opened the battong fo India and they took indian total to 30 with out any loss. Three quick wickets for Sri Lanka has stopped runs flow for India. Sehwag is still batting along with SK Raina. V Kohli and RG Sharma got out with out scoring any run. Indian batsmen now need to bat sensibally to win the match. India got 257 runs target to win the test match and they achieve the target after loosing 5 wickets. India winning the third and final test match by 5 wickets and level the series. VVS Laxman scored 103 runs and his century took India to famous victory. SR Tendulkar scored another half century and got out at 54. SK Raina remained not out at 41.

S Randiv took 5 wickets but could not stop India from winning. He also took 4 wickets in the first inning so total 9 wickets for him in the match. No other Sri Lankan Bowler could able to make any Indian Batsmen out. By Winning this test match India managed to secure its top ranking.

Other batsmen also performed well and they too scored some good scores. Opener M Vijay scored 58 runs and other opener V Sehwag scored 99 runs. R Dravid and VVS Laxman are two batsmen who scored less the half century. All other batsmen crossed the half century mark.

V Sehwag got out at 99 he was batting superbly but wrong shot selection cost him his wicket and century. He was stumped when he tried to hit a six. He is relaxed after got out as he showed no concern to get out at 99. First Indian wicket fallen at the score of 165. Then other opener got out at total score of 169 runs.

SR Tendulkar is not out at 108 and he is accompanied by SK Raina batting on 66 runs. 642 runs scored by Sri Lanka team are replied heavily by Indian side. India will definitely be able to avoid fallow on.

KD Karthik was they only who scored half century and got out on 66 runs. KD Karthik made 41 while captain made 38 runs. India managed to score 268 runs in their 50 over for the loss of 6 wickets. SL Malinga and SHT Kandamby took 2 wickets while KMDN Kulasekara took only 1 wicket. Last match hero MF Maharoof didn’t get a wicket.

Sri Lankan Inning started with loss of wickets and they lost too many early wickets which took them out of contest. At one time they were 51 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. CK Kapugedera played good inning in the middle and score 55 runs. SHT Kandamby made 31 runs. Sri Lanka didn’t resist much and they all out after making 187 runs in their 44.4 over.

In the last contest between these two Sri Lanka out classed its opponent but this time it’s the turn of Indian team to out class their opponent. India becomes 2010 Asian Champion after winning the final by 81 runs. Sri Lanka lost the chance of becoming champion on their home ground.

Karthik, who replaced the injured Virender Sehwag, hit nine boundaries to lead India’s batting in the day-night match at the Rangiri stadium in Dambulla.

Karthik put on 62 for the second wicket with Virat Kohli (28) and 46 for the third with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (38).

Rohit Sharma propped up with the middle-order with a fluent 41, before Ravindra Jadeja boosted the score with an unbeaten 25.

Sri Lanka are seeking a hat-trick of titles, having won the last two editions in 2004 and 2008. The tournament was not held in 2006.

Thilina Kandamby, who had failed to take a wicket with his leg-spin in 32 previous one-dayers, stunned India’s top order with the dismissals of Karthik and Dhoni.

Karthik pulled a full-toss to deep square-leg, while Dhoni cut a short ball uppishly to point.

Sling-arm fast bowler Lasith Malinga finished with 2-57, while Nuwan Kulasekara claimed 1-44.

NVK Ojha got out early for India and India was 1 down at seven. V Kohli came out to bat after the first wicket and he played a good inning of 68 runs. He hit five 4’s in his inning. YK Pathan also played 41 run inning and he just take 41 balls in making it. 38 runs made by R Ashwin helped India to reach the total of 268. T Thushara for Sri Lanka took three wickets.

Sri Lanka came out to bat with the determination to win the match and TM Dilshan launched attach on them. He made 21 on 19 balls. LD Chandimal made 111 and helped Sri Lanka to chase the score easily. CK Kapugedera made 42 runs. Sri Lanka chases the score in 48.2 over and they just lost only four wickets. R Ashwin from India took 2 wickets and gave away 50 runs.

After middle order batted well, the tail of Sri Lankan Batting collapse and didn’t contribute much to score. AD Mathews was the top scorer for Sri Lanka. He made 75 runs. TM Dilshan also played well and he also made half century.

AB Dinda, PP Ojha and RA Jadeja took two wickets each for India. India came out to bat with determination of winning the match. At the score of 28 India lost their first opener M Vijay. Second opener KD Karthik got out at the score of 47. Then there came the two batsmen who made good partnership of 154 runs and provide the base to win for India. V Kohli and RG Sharma played well. RG Sharma made his second century of the tournament. He made 101 and remains not out.

India comfortably chases the score in 43.3 over with the loss of only three wickets. RG Sharma remains not out on 101. He was declared as man of the match.
